Black Israelites Fell Because They Forgot About God

Do you think God wanted to see your back
turned to him
and sagging pants
as you ran from your enemy unarmed, black man?
Do you think the Father wanted to see your bloated belly,
black woman, as you walked with straightened hair
without a protector holding your hand?
Do you think he wanted to see you acting as a perpetual victim
begging for welfare from your oppressor?
In the Old Testament, you were the warriors.
Remember?
But then something happened.
Israel stopped listening to the creator.
And, “seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God,
I will also forget thy children.” (Hosea 4:6)
And, “How should one chase a thousand,
and two put ten thousand to flight,
except their Rock had sold them?” (Deuteronomy 32:30)
