This is What Dr. King Schultz Meant to Say: “Christ is Black.”
by Sabrina Dawkins
In Django Unchained, realizing that slaveowner Calvin Candie was a fan of The Three Musketeers, a novel by Alexandre Dumas, Dr. King Schultz told him, “Alexandre Dumas Christ is black.” I chuckle to myself, thinking of all the whites who claim to be Christians, who extol the wisdom found in the Bible but have no clue that Christ came as a black man—and probably wouldn’t accept it even if it were told them plainly.
