Actors are suits
that devils wear.
A youngster with yellow stars
for eyes
saw the HOLLYWOOD sign
off in the distance.
She didn’t see rotting flesh
hung upon
the huge letters
without hangers.
They use different bodies
for different effects
or one body
for many spirits.
So the best actors
are empty.
You applaud their demons.
